From 30 November to 4 December 2026, Las Vegas hosts AWS re:Invent 2026 — one of the major technology conferences for cloud computing, artificial intelligence and modern IT infrastructure.
This year’s edition is especially interesting because of the rising importance of autonomous AI agents that may change how business applications, infrastructure management and process automation work.
AWS CEO keynote — Matt Garman
One of the main sessions will be the presentation by Matt Garman, CEO of Amazon Web Services.
Keynote: Tuesday, 1 December 2026 · 17:30–19:30 Polish time (8:30–10:30 PST)
During the two-hour talk AWS will outline technology directions and new capabilities related to the so-called agentic era. Specific product announcements will only be known during the conference.
What can we expect?
According to AWS’s official preview, keynote themes are expected to cover:
- AI agents — systems that can carry out tasks and multi-step processes more independently.
- AI infrastructure — technologies for running advanced AI models at scale.
- AI inference — efficient model serving and resource optimisation.
- Data and agent platforms — connecting enterprise data with intelligent applications and agents.
- AWS software agents — Amazon-built solutions intended to support automation and software development.
AWS also plans further product announcements and customer case studies. The items above describe announced themes — they should not be read as confirmed launches of specific products.
Why follow AWS re:Invent 2026?
Artificial intelligence is moving from simple chatbots toward agents that perform concrete actions.
For companies that can mean automating business processes, integrating IT systems and building applications that use their own data.
Topics around AI infrastructure, inference cost, agent security and integrating cloud services with existing IT environments will be especially relevant.
Where to watch
AWS will provide virtual access to key sessions, including keynotes.
